Terms & Conditions for Handbag Restoration Services
General Overview
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of the handbag restoration services ("Services") provided by Purse Parlour ("Company," "we," or "us"). By engaging in our Services, the customer ("Customer," "you," or "your") agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
Scope of Services
Purse Parlour offers professional restoration services for luxury handbags, including cleaning, leather conditioning, repairs, reconditioning, and customization. Services are provided based on the condition and materials of the handbag, as well as the specific needs identified by the Customer.
Service Request and Agreement
Initial Consultation: To initiate the restoration process, the Customer must provide details about the handbag’s condition, including photographs. Based on the initial consultation, we will provide a restoration estimate, including pricing and timelines. The estimate may change once the item is assessed in person. The Customer must approve the estimate before any work begins. The approval is considered a binding agreement between the Customer and The Purse Parlour. All price quotes and assessments are approximate. The final cost may vary depending on the actual repair work required. We will inform the Customer of any significant cost changes before proceeding.
Deposit and Payment
A non-refundable deposit may be required upon approval of the estimate to secure the restoration work. Full payment is due upon completion of the restoration services, unless otherwise agreed. The bag will only be returned to the Customer once full payment has been received. We accept payments via credit and debit cards and bank transfer. If additional costs are incurred during the restoration process (e.g., due to unforeseen damage or material costs), the Customer will be informed and must approve any additional charges. If items remain uncollected or unpaid for a duration of 3 months, ownership of the items willautomatically transfer to The Purse Parlour. The Purse Parlour reserves the right to sell ordispose of the items at its discretion.
Turnaround Time
Estimated turnaround times are provided at the time of the estimate. The turnaround time may vary depending on the extent of restoration work required and material availability. We will keep the Customer informed of any delays.
Quality and Warranty
We take great care in restoring handbags; however, due to the nature of leather and other materials, results may vary based on the initial condition of the item. We make every effort to repair and restore handbags to the best of our abilities. However, we do not provide a warranty or guarantee that the repaired handbag will be completely free from wear or future defects. Repaired items are accepted by the client "as is." Finding original parts and materials may not be possible. We will do our best to maintain the authenticity of your item, but it may not be possible in all cases.
Liability and Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide the highest standard of restoration services, the Customer acknowledges that certain damage, such as irreparable wear, discoloration, or structural degradation, may not be fully reversible. We aim to deliver high-quality restoration services; however, the outcome of the restoration is subject to the condition and nature of the handbag being restored. As the perception of satisfaction is subjective, we cannot be held liable for the Customer's satisfaction with the final result. Any dissatisfaction due to personal preferences or expectations beyond the agreed-upon scope of work will not constitute grounds for liability, refund, or further compensation. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping or handling once the handbag is returned to the Customer. We recommend insuring the item during shipping. In no event will The Purse Parlour be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the restoration services.
Shipping and Delivery
Customers are responsible for shipping their items to The Purse Parlour for restoration, including any shipping costs and insurance. We will return the item to the Customer via the shipping method agreed upon. Shipping costs for return delivery are typically covered by the Customer unless otherwise stated.
Ownership and Liability of Customer’s Property
The Customer agrees to provide accurate information about the handbag’s condition and acknowledges that The Purse Parlour is not liable for any pre-existing damage that was not disclosed. The Customer retains ownership of the handbag throughout the restoration process. The Customer acknowledges that The Purse Parlour is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage beyond the value of the item’s market price, which is determined by the current second-hand market value for a similar bag in comparable condition. In the case of loss, theft, or total destruction of the handbag during the restoration process, The Purse Parlour shall either source a similar bag where possible. If The Purse Parlour is unable to find a similar bag for the Customer, compensation will be provided up to the value of a similar handbag on the second-hand market, with a maximum payout of 2500 EUR per bag."
Customer Satisfaction
The Purse Parlour aims for customer satisfaction. If, upon receipt of the restored item, the Customer is dissatisfied with the results, they must notify us within 24 hours to discuss possible solutions. We reserve the right to make adjustments or offer alternatives based on the feedback provided.
Termination of Services
The Customer may cancel the restoration work before the process begins by notifying us in writing. Any paid deposit is non-refundable. If the Customer terminates the restoration work after it has started, the Customer will be responsible for payment for services rendered up to that point.
Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect the Customer’s privacy and will not share personal information without consent, except as required by law. Customer information is securely stored and used solely for the purposes of completing the restoration services.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Purse Parlour reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to customers prior to the commencement of any new restoration work.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
